Kid Cudi Loses Teeth In His Short Film For “Mr. Rager”
If Brad Pitt‘s Fight Club, Quentin Tarantino‘ s Kill Bill and Michael Jackson’s “Beat It” had a bastard child, it would come out kicking and screaming like the new video for Kid Cudi’s “Mr. Rager” off his 2010 album Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager.
The nearly seven-minute short film follows Scott Mescudi, aka Kid Cudi, 27, as he breaks into an abandoned warehouse in the middle of the night and battles a legion of vicious but impeccably dressed gang members. The video was directed by Jeremie Rozan of Surface to Air Studios, a “Boutique and Creative Studio, featuring cutting edge designs and services from a collective based in Paris.” The G.O.O.D. Music artist recently teamed up with Surface to Air to launch an exclusive new jacket line and smartly dresses all the extras in the cutting edge outerwear.
Check out the bloody video below. Kid Cudi screened the mini-film last week for Surface to Air’s Fashion Night Out Party in New York City and gave an impromptu interview below about all the rage.
Kid Cudi currently stars in the Mark Wahlberg–produced HBO comedy series How to Make it in America. His third album, Man on the Moon III, is set for a Fall 2012 release.
