Today is Amy Winehouse‘s 28th birthday.

Although the late singer left this earth too soon passing in her London home on July 23rd, on her special day, it seems she has left one last gift behind for her friends, family and fans.

Back in March 2011 at Abbey Road Studios in London, Amy recorded the 1930′s song “Body and Soul” with one of her idols, Tony Bennett, for his upcoming Duets II album which also features duets with John Mayer, Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey and Carrie Underwood. Although the full album will hit stores next Tuesday, September 20, the “Body and Soul” video specially premieres today at 6AM on MTV, VH1, MTV Hits and mtvU in commemoration of the bee-hived beauty’s life.

“We had a beautiful time recording together in the studio, and I knew that Amy was very happy with how she performed that day,” Tony said in an official statement. “I thought she was absolutely brilliant, and this recording truly captures the essence of her unique artistry. She was a rare talent.”

Behind-the-scenes footage caught the duet between the two singers and in the clip below, a fresh faced and bubbly Amy discusses her admiration for Bennett whom she affectionately calls ‘Tone”

“First time I met Tone, I took my dad and stepmother and boyfriend to see him at Royal Rabbit Hole. We saw him both nights,” noted the “Rehab” singer. “It was really exciting that he chose that song because I do love it, is such a beautifully written song,”

Amy also tells a funny anecdote in the clip, reminiscing about how her father reacted when he learned of the duet. “He said, ‘Oh, it’s only my favorite song in the world you’re gonna sing. Oh my God…Do you even know it?’ And I was like ‘Of course I know it, Mitchell. I’m your daughter.’”

Listen to Mitchell’s daughter sing in the FULL VIDEO below. Happy Birthday Amy!
