Carmelo Anthony has been a constant fixture of our sneaker pages and as a Jordan Brand athlete it seems appropriate. Thinking about the sheer number of free Air Jordans and one-off player exclusive pairs Carmelo must receive makes my heart turn green with envy. Despite his affiliation with JB, Carmelo showed that a man can pull off debonaire at a fashion event while still sporting sneakers. Carmelo achieved this feat at the Tommy Hilfiger Fashion Week show with none other than Tommy Hilfiger. Carmello showed some color blocking prowess with a midnight navy double-breasted trench paired up nicely with a pair of red chinos. The sneakers in question are the YSL Malibu Hi-Top, and wile they are most certainly sneakers, they provide an air of class beyond ‘Melos standard Jordan aesthetic. While glad handing with celebrities and wearing the NBA signifier of style—fake glasses—New Yorkers can only hope Carmelo is staying in shape for a potential NBA season.
