The Gossip Girl Clothing Line Debuts!
Pssst! Here’s some gossip we are oh so happy to spread.
Warner Bros. Television Group, the producers of the fashion-in-motion series that is CW‘s Gossip Girl, and L.A.–based contemporary clothing company Romeo & Juliet Couture have gotten in bed together and given birth to a collection reflective of the preppy chic of Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) and hippy glam of Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively).
“The entire collection was inspired by the modern and sophisticated young women portrayed in the show Gossip Girl,” stated David Shamouelian, CEO of Romeo & Juliet Couture in a press release. “The designs are intended to empower young, independent women to embrace their feminine side and still maintain their strength.”
Glittering with cocktail dresses, liquid leggings, transparent tops and chiffon blouses, the Fall collection has a style Upper Eastsiders will rave about but Brooklyn babies can actually afford with a price range of $80 to $200. The collection will reportedly expand with handbags and accessories in Spring 2012.
The line debuted this week at Kitson, Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue just in time for the premiere of the fifth season of Gossip Girl on September 26th.
