Waka Flocka Flame Pepper-Sprayed At Celebrity Bowling Bash
To kick off BET Hip Hop Awards 2011 weekend, last night Waka Flocka Flame, his mom (and manager) Debra Antney, Ludacris, Katt Williams, Toya Wright, Shawty Lo, Carl Pain (Martin), French Montana and others joined in bowling at Metro Lanes Atlanta for charity as Mizay Entertainment announced its “Home for the Holidays” program, which will put 10 single- and grandparent-led families into homes of their own this Christmas season (Waka himself pledged $50 per strike for each of the 12 private lanes).
While the event was an achievement in a philanthropic sense, one incident marred an otherwise successful night. According to sources, Waka’s former associate Lil Capp (featured on the rapper’s breakout 2009 hit “O Let’s Do It”) showed up to the event with a vendetta due to claims Waka never paid him or gave him credit for writing the track. A mini-riot ensued inside the venue, with security and police spraying the crowd with pepper spray to disperse everyone—Waka and his team (and myself) included. After the excitement died down, a still jovial Waka ran back into the bowling alley (shirtless after the fray), snatched up a plate of food and his artist Muffy (who was still inside) and left.
