Kid Cudi Talks About His New Nike Air Mags With Conan O’Brien

Kid Cudi is crazy. How crazy? Well, crazy enough to pay thousands of dollars for a pair of sneakers—and then wear them on a late-night TV talk show.

Okay, okay, so maybe Cudi’s not that crazy. It’s not like he wore his brand-new Nike Air Mags to play ball down at the park or to cut the grass. But he wasted no time in breaking out one of the four pairs that he bought on eBay a couple of weeks ago for his appearance on Conan the other night. During the interview, Cudi talked more about how expensive the shoes were (hint: A lot!), how he had to create his own eBay account to buy them, and how he actually bought fives of Air Mags (he bought himself four pairs and his girlfriend one pair as well) before switching the subject and giving Conan O’Brien his own $1200 Surface to Air jacket.

If I had a pair of Air Mags in my closet, I probably wouldn’t be caught wearing in my room, let alone outside of the house. So in that regard, Cudi’s kinda crazy for stepping out in them. Then again, I don’t have one pair, let alone four pairs at my disposal, so hey—to each his own! Let’s just hope that Andy Richter didn’t get close enough to scuff them during that handshake of the beginning of the interview. Check out the interview below now.

  • Hi there! This is kind of off topic but I need some guidance from an established blog. Is it hard to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty quick. I’m thinking about making my own but I’m not sure where to begin. Do you have any ideas or suggestions? Thank you
