Sofia Vergara is bringing sexy back to Kmart. Wait, was Kmart ever sexy in the first place? Probably not but the 39-year-old Colombian–born actress is hoping to change all that.

“We’re trying to fill a hole in the store,” Sofia told WWD. “They wanted to appeal to a younger woman with something a little spicy. The times are changing.”

Although the bombshell is enjoying the success of being a star on the hit ABC series Modern Family, the stylish chica always had her eye on fashion. “It’s one of the things I always wanted to do, but this was the best time for me to look for a deal,” Sofia admits. “This is kind of natural for me. I have always been interested in clothes and makeup and beauty. I always dressed up. I wasn’t laid-back about it. I’m not lounging around in sweat clothes and flip-flops. Maybe a nice pair of sweats.”

Expect to see Sofia’s Kmart Collection come to life this season on Modern Family as the diva gives us a lesson on her line’s suburb and curb appeal. “It’s comfortable and chic, affordable, and versatile to wear from day to the night,” says Sofia. “It’s fantastic because you can mix and match. It doesn’t matter.”

With a roster of bustier dresses, motocross jackets, mini-dresses, lacy camisoles and lace dresses, the collection is va-va-voom without the pricey tag. Every piece retails at under $60. “This is for any size, any ethnicity, any woman who wants to look cute and be comfortable and sexy at the same time, without spending a lot of money,” Sofia told InStyle.com. “I wanted to do a line that is for everyone.”
