By now you’ve probably caught wind that the oft maligned Kanye West introduced his fashion line “Dw” at Paris Fashion Week. If this is news to you, take the opportunity to brush up on the line that was dedicated to Kanye’s late mother Donda West. While the fodder surrounding Kanye’s inaugural collection doesn’t look like it will die down any time soon, the subplot to the release of his line were Kanye’s own sartorial choices which were on full display as he accepted praise for his collection. While Kanye’s fashion line has been many years in the making and was originally rumored to kick off with Pastelle, Kanye has remained an avid sneaker aficionado.

His collaboration on the Nike Air Yeezy, and impending Nike Air Yeezy 2 will be two of the most hyped sneaker releases in Nike sneaker history when it’s all said and done. Kanye’s personal style does well to combine aspects of haute couture, with sneaker and streetwear classics. At the premiere of his “Dw” line Kanye reigned in the occasion in subtle refinement in a white tee, leather pants and his go to kicks of late, the Air Jordan VI “Infrared.” While Kanye may have been hosting fashion icons from around the world, he clearly wasn’t afraid to remain true to his sneaker-loving roots in the hightop Air Jordan VIs. If these particular kicks look familiar on Mr. West, it’s most likely due to the fact that he recently sported them with big brother Jay-Z in the Otis video. What do you think of Kanye’s own fashion choices on the night of his line’s premiere?
