Switching it up ’cause everyone wants to dance nowadays, Leona Lewis abandons her signature ballad style for an electro pop look on her new single, “Collide.”

Producer Sandy Vee incorporates a sample from Swedish DJ Aviciis “Penguin” to create a fresh-sounding, chart-friendly hit for Leona showcasing her powerhouse voice and introducing us to a lighter, youthful side of her character. The track is a nice prelude to her upcoming third album, Glass Heart, due November 28 in the U.K. with a U.S. release date still pending.

Leona filmed a video this week showing her support for the W.S.P.A.’s “Collars Not Cruelty” campaign, touching on her upcoming album, U.K. talent show X Factor‘s debut in the U.S. (the show she won and was discovered on in 2006) and more:
