Take A Behind-The-Scenes Look At Derrick Rose’s Super-Cool “Unleash The Bull” Commercial

If the NBA ends up having a season this year, Derrick Rose is going to transform into a true NBA superstar. It sounds a little silly to think that he’s just becoming a superstar given that he won the NBA’s Most Valuable Player award last year, but the truth is that D-Rose is a pretty quiet guy off the court, which has hurt him when it comes to getting his name and face out there. That said, he spent his entire summer and the early part of his fall traveling the world, putting on basketball clinics on behalf of Adidas, and, most recently, filming a new commercial for the adidas adiZero Rose 2—his second signature sneaker. And it’s impressive. See it here:

But what we absolutely love is that the Chicago Bulls point guard also filmed a special behind-the-scenes clip that shows off a little bit more of his personality than he usually allows. While he still doesn’t seem completely comfortable in front of the camera, he has loosened up just a bit to help explain the concept of his commercial, which features him pretending to be a “bull” in a colosseum in Spain. Check it out here:

D-Rose might not be as charismatic as Shaq or as insightful as LeBron James when he talks, but it does look like he’s trying to give us a little more than he has in the past. Like some of the NBA’s other players, it appears Rose has worked on finding better ways to brand himself during the lockout. Now, hopefully, that carries into the season. Provided, of course, that there is a season. Because if this is any indication of what’s to come for Rose, we’re looking forward to it.
