Snoop Dogg is about to make a return to the small screen. Reportedly, NBC has picked up a family sitcom starring the West Coast hip-hop legend. According to Deadline.com:

“The family comedy project starring Snoop Dogg has landed at NBC with a script commitment. Sitcom veteran Don Reo is writing the sitcom that has the rapper/entrepreneur/marijuana activist playing the father. The project was originally set up at Warner Bros TV last month. Reo will executive produce, with Snoop Dogg and Ted Chung serving as producers.”

Snoop previously starred in a family oriented TV show with his E! reality show, Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood, back in 2007. Building on his acting résumé, Snoop was also recently cast in the title role in the upcoming biopic, The Legend Of Fillmore Slim. No word yet on when his NBC sitcom will premiere, but knowing Snoop, I’m sure it’ll be entertaining.
