Sneak Peek: The Avengers

We all know that May 2012 is quite a while away. However, buzz has already begun intensifying for the upcoming ensemble film, The Avengers. After Comic-Con appearances and making the cover of Entertainment Weekly, it’s clear that people are greatly anticipating this film.

Theoretically, of course, it makes sense for us to get all worked up over it too, right? You’ve got Iron Man and Iron Man 2, The Incredible Hulk, Captain America: The First Avenger, and Thor all in one film! Not to mention the fact that you have supporting cast members like Samuel L. Jackson and Scarlett Johansson playing pivotal roles in the film, as well.

Their stories should all be weaved together quite nicely, leading to some great dialogue and storyline material, as well as some great battle scenes. True comic fans might be happy to know that scenes involving the Hulk (a superhero that has never really been done justice on film, in this author’s opinion) will actually be shot in live action, meaning less CGI and thus less of a cartoon look and feel to the movie.

Filming was done in two primary locations: Cleveland, OH which means the unforgiving city actually did find a way to generate revenue after LeBron James left town and New York City, and wrapped last month. A few videos taken from the Cleveland shoots give a sneak peek into what we can expect.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a proper sneak peek without a trailer.

By the looks of things, it’s gonna be all we expect and more.

The Avengers is scheduled for release May 4, 2012
