Libyan leader and dictator Moammar Gadhafi is dead, killed by rebels. News spread across the Web that Gadhafi was shot in the crossfire between transitional government troops who had captured him and the loyalists of the ex-ruler. Although it’s not 100% clear as to what killed Gadhafi, interim Prime Minister Mahmoud Jibril was the one who confirmed Gadhafi was in fact dead.

The 69-year-old ruled Libya with an iron fist for 42 years before the people had enough of his dictatorship and staged an uprising that led to his death. Video has surfaced outlining Gadhafi’s final moments before death while another video apparently shows his dead body as revolutionary fighters celebrate.
