Don’t Get Infected! Introducing Uggcitrin: The Ugg Boot Vaccine

I am proud of some major things in my life: graduating near the top of my class, never having naked photos leak on the Internet and most importantly, always knowing that Uggswere not OK. When Uggsarrived in the United States from Australia in the 90s, became all the rage and popped on the feet of A-Listers like Oprah, Leonardo Dicaprio, Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears, I struggled to snap society and my best friend out of it. Was I the only one who could see that Uggswere really UGG-LY?

Thankfully a cure is in sight. With winter fast approaching it is even more important we protect ourselves from the Ugg virus before it is too late. Uggcitrine, the first ever Ugg Boot Vacine promises to “protect you from Uggsfor the rest of your life,” in three easy treatments. If you have the bad habit of “mistaking leggings for pants, holding oversized Starbucks cups to make your hands look more petite, wearing high performance outerwear as fashion statements, and tramping around malls like oversized elephants,” you may already be stricken with this fashion faux-pas.

Let’s get real. Sadly, Uggicitrin does not exist but Babelgum and LandlineTV have put together this hilarious PSA with the hope of ensuring a better future for all without puffy boots. Check out the mock commercial below.  Will you wear Uggsthis winter?

[Editor's Note: I wholeheartedly disagree with this blasphemy. I L-O-V-E my Uggs. They're like wearing soft, fluffy, warm clouds on your feet.]
