If you’ve got a friend or relative overseas on deployment, or even if you watch the news about these multiple wars and occupations we’ve had going on in this country since the early 2000s, chances are you’ve asked yourself the question the whole world wants to know. When will it all be over? When will our troops come home?

President Obama has provided a quite definitive and hopefully feasible answer to this question: before 2012! This, of course, has raised quite a bit of questions. Will he really do this or is it just a campaign trick? Is it safe to do this now or will our troops end up going back to an even worse situation in the next year or two? Of course, we will be glad to see them come home, but not if they will all end up going right back.

Will there be viable employment opportunities for our soldiers as they return home? There are few jobs as it is. Are we prepared to provide our soldiers with the benefits they deserve upon return?

One thing’s for certain. The holiday season just got a little bit happier for a whole lot of families out there.
