Did Kim Kardashian Shop Around For A New York Athlete Before Settling On Kris Humphries?

Reportedly, Kim Kardashian did a little shopping around among the pool of eligible New York athletes before settling on a relationship with her now husband, Kris Humphries. The reality star is said to have been in cahoots with the E! Network (also known as the “Kardashian Network”) to land herself a big New York athlete to date for the first season of Kourtney & Kim Take New York. Kimmy and E! allegedly had their eye on then New York Knick Danilo Gallinari, and approached the Knicks organization to find out if he had an interest in dating her. According to WetPaint.com:

“Gallinari—then 22 to Kim’s 30—was told that such a move would be good for his career and that he would garner lots of media exposure. Gallinari declined, saying he would be happy to meet Kim but wasn’t interested in dating or being a reality-show star. E! had ‘no comment’ when we called them.

Before you could say, ‘The Knicks aren’t the only game in the New York metro area!’ Kim was dating Kris Humphries of the New Jersey (soon to be Brooklyn) Nets. Did E! approach the Nets, too? The Nets declined to comment. (Actually, no team will comment on players these days, due to the NBA lockout.)”

Kim and Kris have so much going against them. As much as I hate to wish ill on someone’s union, I’m expecting an announcement that their marriage is over in 5…4…3…2…
