This has been a somber week for the hip-hop community. Not even a week after the unexpected death of Heavy D comes news that Erick Sermon has suffered a heart attack. DJ Scratch, who once served as DJ for EPMD, the legendary hip-hop duo comprised of Erick and Parrish Smith, announced the news via Twitter yesterday. “Erick Sermon had a heart attack today,” he tweeted. “He’s ok, but still send your prayers. He is not on Twitter.”
