Lady Gaga Set To Adopt Children From India?
Lady Gaga is reportedly making moves to adopt not one but three young children from an orphanage in India.
A source tells Britain’s Daily Star the pop icon—who recently visited India to perform on the closing day of the inaugural Grand Prix—feels it’s her duty to care for babies who otherwise would have had impoverished lives, similar to Angelina Jolie.
“She’s always wanted to adopt, ever since she was a little girl. She tells friends she feels she was put on this planet for a reason and since achieving fame she sees it as a sign that she has to give back the good fortune she’s received.
“She’s already set up her Born This Way Foundation in India and visited two orphanages while she was there last time. The plan is to adopt three Indian orphans before adopting more from around the world. She wants at least one American child, too.”
The 25-year-old is also said to have told her friends that there are children in need in the US as well. “She’s not being one of those celebrities who get sucked into third world adoptions only to forget about her own country,” the insider added.
