These Are The Nike Boots You’ll Want In Your Closet This Winter
We’ve been relatively lucky out here on the East Coast. Despite one minor snowstorm a few days before Halloween—dubbed “Snowtober”—we haven’t had to withstand any subzero temperatures yet and, truthfully, we’ve still got our winter coats stashed away in the closet. But that doesn’t mean that winter isn’t coming. With each and every passing day, we’re 24 hours closer to that four or five-month stretch where we’re going to have to come out of the house bundled up every morning. We’re also one step closer to having to find an alternative to all the sneaks we’ve been wearing for the last six months or so.
Don’t worry, though. Nike, as always, has got you covered. They’ve put out a few different pairs of boots over the course of the last month or so, but this pair in particular is my personal favorite. It’s called the Nike ACG Air Max Posite Bakin Boot “Metallic Grey” and, as you can see, it looks awfully similar to a winterized version of a Foamposite One. I actually have a similar pair in blue, and my only complaint is that, well, they’re bright blue, which doesn’t exactly make them convenient to wear. And since I don’t necessarily feel like breaking the bank buying Nike boots that I can’t wear year round, I wish I had a pair that went with everything. And these do just that without being too basic like, say, a pair of Goadomes.
They won’t be dropping everywhere, unfortunately. Rather, it looks like only select Nike retailers will be getting them in stock. A price also hasn’t been announced, either, though you should expect to pay at least $175 for them, if not $200 or more. But I think they’re worth it. Because when the going gets tough—or, more accurately, the East Coast gets brick—you’re going to want a pair of boots strapped to your feet. And if you’ve gotta wear them, it might as well be a pair of boots like this.
