Another LeBron 9 colorway? Yes, another LeBron 9 colorway. At this point, it feels like Nike has commissioned about a bazillion different colorways for Bron-Bron’s latest sneaker, despite the fact that it’s only been out for about a month now and in spite of the fact that there’s currently not an NBA season. You’d think that Nike would hold off on all the colorways, because if and when the NBA season does kick off, it’d give their creative team a chance to go crazy with different color schemes. But, whatever. We’re glad they’re letting all these colorways loose!

With the latest one, LeBron has decided to pay homage to—who else?—Jay-Z and Kanye West by creating a special pair of LeBron 9s devoted to the Watch The Throne album. To do that, Nike has created a LeBron 9 that features a black upper, gold branding (for the “kings,” of course!), and an icy blue sole in addition to some designer laces. Pretty sharp, if you ask us.

I’ll be honest: I’d probably prefer a regular old pair of LeBron 9s over these—both for balling and for wearing out casually. But, I do have to say that this would make for quite the Christmas gift for the LeBron/Jay-Z/Kanye West fan in your life. Or, it’d be a good pickup for the rap fanatic looking to add a piece of history to his or her collection. There hasn’t been any information on whether or not these will be released—they just popped up after Jay and ‘Ye did a show in Miami—but we wouldn’t count on these being available to the general public anytime soon.
