Conspiracy: Is The President Being Set Up?
File this one in the category of Things That Make You Go Hmm… (borrowed, of course, from Arsenio Hall).
As presidential hopeful Herman Cain, the first Republican candidate to enlist the services of the Secret Service, has found out, it’s not easy being in the national spotlight. Politics is a contact sport here in the U.S., and those in power (or who are contending for it) need full-time professionals to watch their backs.
However, lately, it seems that even the professionals are slipping up or are they? when it comes to the safety of President Barack Obama.
Seriously, shots were fired at an exterior window of the First Family’s living quarters at the White House this past week? Of course, the president was away when the shots were fired, but the guy – one Oscar Ramiro Ortega-Hernandez – fired the shots from an assault rifle! The guy seemed to have an obsession with President Obama and clearly came prepared to shock the nation and the world with his treacherous attempt. Not to mention the fact that it took four days to find the guy. Correct us if we’re wrong here, but aren’t they supposed to secure the perimeter?
On top of that, a dossier containing step-by-step details of the President’s recent trip to Australia was found in a gutter near the nation’s Parliament building. It also contained strategic information including names/contact info of top security and emergency response personnel, intel, and communications.
These are just the most recent in a series of what have been quite embarrassing flubs by those with some of the greatest responsibilities in the free world over the course of the Obama administration. Are these just accidents or is there something bigger going on?
Is someone out to get the President?
It’s doubtful that anyone who is has infiltrated the highest ranks of national security and intel, making his or her way into his inner circle. However, it is possible. Stranger things have indeed happened during the history of our government, and anti-Obama sentiment is widely expressed by those who feel it, as was made clear by the First Lady Michelle Obama and Jill Biden‘s trip to NASCAR this past weekend.
The fact of the matter is that mistakes like this make it easier for those who, like Ortega-Hernandez, mean to do our President some harm. There’s no need for that, especially when people are specifically paid to make sure that it doesn’t happen.
After all, it’s not like the man doesn’t have enough to worry about.
