Nike & PRODUCT (RED) Team Up To Fight AIDS In Africa
Getting inspi(red) has never been this fashionable.
Nike Sportwear has teamed up with PRODUCT (RED) to create a variety of cool items designed to fight AIDS in Africa. Founded in 2006 by U2′s Bono, (PRODUCT) RED has worked with Starbucks, Beats by Dr. Dre, American Express, Apple Inc., Starbucks, Converse, Gap, and Emporio Armani.
Their latest collaboration with Nike boasts a line of chic items to go on sale December 1st, World Aids Day, with 100% of the proceeds from (NIKE) RED going to the Global Fund and to Nike football-based programs (can you say soccer?). Items from Nike Sportswear’s Holiday 2011 Collection that will have you seeing red include the NSW Melton DESTROYER (PRODUCT) RED, inspired by classic letterman jackets, the NSW Cheyenne Backpack (PRODUCT) RED, the Nike Zoom Meriwether with welded waterproof side zippers, and the original NIKE (PRODUCT) RED Laces “signifying commitment to a cause.”
