J. Cole Joins Kevin Durant In His New “Basketball Never Stops” Nike Commercial
As I’ve said in the past, I’m not in love with the Nike Zoom KD IV. Can’t quite put my finger on exactly why I don’t love the sneaker, but I’m already looking forward to the KD Vs at this point. I think it’s those straps. I just can’t eff with sneaks that use those type of straps in 2011. And I can’t believe NBA players are still asking for them on their sneakers.
That being said, I am in love with Kevin Durant‘s new “Basketball Never Stops” commercial. It was, of course, shot before the NBA lockout ended. So the storyline doesn’t exactly make a ton of sense now that KD will be getting back to balling with his fellow pro players soon. But, it does feature a pretty cool J. Cole cameo that fits organically into the plot of the commercial. Oh, and the inclusion of Sam Cooke‘s “Good Times” doesn’t hurt, either! Nice choice.
