The Foundation Museo de la Moda in Chile has gone all out to own a tangible piece of Amy Winehouse‘s legacy. Reportedly, the foundation bought one of the late singer’s dresses at a London auction for $67,000! The red and white printed chiffon dress was designed by Thailand-based designer Disaya, and was worn by Amy on the cover of her multi-platinum selling second studio album, Back to Black. According to CBS News:

“The designer donated the proceeds from the sale to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which was set up by the singer’s family to help vulnerable young people.

The singer’s father, Mitch Winehouse, attended the auction on Tuesday.

‘We are just over the moon and this is a wonderful start to the foundation,’ he said.”

Amy was found dead in her home in Camden, North London on July 23 at the age of 27. Last month it was determined the ‘Rehab” singer died from alcohol poisoning when she began drinking again after weeks of sobriety.

As we previously reported, a posthumous set of music from Amy, called Lioness: Hidden Treasures, will be released next week on December 5.
