On Saturday, December 3rd, Antonio Margarito and Miguel Cotto will have their second showdown three years after 2008′s “Fight of the Year” candidate in which Margarito brutalized Cotto down the stretch to earn a devastating 11th round TKO and handed the Puerto Rican his first pro loss. It was Margarito’s greatest accomplishment in the ring until he was caught with illegal handwraps just before he walked to the ring against “Sugar” Shane Mosley. It brought into question whether or not Margarito cheated against Cotto in their fight a few months earlier. With a little over three years passing since that fight, the two will finally settle the score in a bout that has bad blood all over it.
