With a full head of hair free of grey, a fresh-faced Harvard Law student addresses the camera. As the first black editor of the Harvard Law Review, he had already made history, but could he have known he would make so much more?

A video of a young Barack Obama is making the internet rounds, showing the future president at 29-years-old in a TV spot for TBS’ Black History Minute from 1991. (More amazing- TBS taught history?)

Apparently, even one of the world’s most famous orators had to work hard for those skills. Obama has been made fun of for his over-reliance on teleprompters, but compared to his younger self, the current president is a regular natural in front of the cameras. The 29-year-old Obama speaks slowly and flatly, and barely moves a muscle; he would make Mitt Romney seem relaxed!

Getting less attention in this video is the discussion of civil rights pioneer Charles Hamilton Houston. Let’s hope this clip spreads some knowledge too.
