Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi Hit With $7 Million Lawsuit
Jersey Shore star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is in hot water — and not the dirty jacuzzi kind she usually prefers.
According to a report by the New York Post, the pint-sized party machine had entered into a partnership with a company named SRG Ventures to launch various Snooki-branded merchandise, including school supplies (how ironic), watches, shoes and lingerie. The deal went sour quick and in October Polizzi filed suit to end her contract with SRG, alleging it didn’t fulfill its obligation to land her enough money or branding partnerships.
The licensing company is now hitting back with a $7 million counterclaim suit, detailing that Snooki and her team sabotaged the entire deal by negotiating with brands behind their back and never properly promoted the licensing deals they had set up for her.
A rep for the reality star told the Post, “Ms. Polizzi disputes SRG’s version of the facts and looks forward to her day in court.”
The fifth (and alleged final) season of Jersey Shore airs on MTV from January 5.
