The question of whether Nicole Scherzinger will return to the judging panel of The X Factor for another season of the reality talent show is up in the air. In the wake of the controversy surrounding X Factor contestant Rachel Crow’s elimination from the competition, Nicole isn’t giving a direct answer to the question of whether or not she’ll return. According to Deadline.com:

“Asked at a press conference whether she’d return if asked, the Pussycat Dolls singer didn’t give a straight answer, saying, ‘I’ve had a lot of fun this season. The reason I took this job is I wanted to mentor, first and foremost. It has been very hard on me, the elimination process. It’s something I could never have been prepared for.’ Scherzinger, a last-minute replacement for original judge Cheryl Cole, has received mostly negative feedback from fans…”

Even Simon Cowell, X Factor‘s creator, isn’t giving a straight answer to the question. When asked recently if he’d want to replace Scherzinger as a judge next season, he responded, “Haven’t got a clue. We change these shows all the time. You listen to the network, you listen to the sponsors.”

If Nicole is not asked to return, she may not be the only one. According to British newspaper the Daily Mirror, The X Factor‘s current host Steve Jones will not be rehired for the next season of the popular singing competition. If you ask me, that may not be a bad idea…dude has about as much personality as a rock.
