Van Halen Set To Reunite For New Tour
Classic rock group Van Halen is reuniting for their first tour in five years, with tickets scheduled to go on sale January 10.
The group—featuring members David Lee Roth, Eddie Van Halen, Wolfgang Van Halen and Alex Van Halen—are also releasing a new album early in the year via Interscope Records, marking the first time the band has recorded away from their label since 1977, Warner Bros. The album is the first set featuring Roth since 1984 was released (on the last day of 1983).
Set to the audio of several David Lee Roth-era classics, the band has just released a trailer video (shot last month at The Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood) featuring visuals of the group performing a brand new song, with the new track’s official video coming soon.
“The whole Van Halen record has been recorded and we’re all excited,” says the group’s producer Ross Hogarth. “I’m really stoked about it, as it is the original band, Eddie and Alex with Wolf playing bass, and David Lee Roth singing, it’s the killing side of Van Halen at the top of their game again with Diamond Dave and the band on fire.”
