Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos have managed to limp into the playoffs after losing 7-3 to the Kansas City Chiefs, but seeing the light when the San Diego Chargers knocked off the Oakland Raiders later in the afternoon.

You know what that means.

Tebowmania for another weekend!

Somehow, someway, the Denver Broncos will host the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first round of the NFL playoffs next Sunday. Now the question has to be asked whether or not the Broncos have any shot to beat the Steelers in the playoffs. Here is a team that has completely fallen apart down the stretch. However, thanks to the rest of the AFC West, Tebow and his Broncos were able to walk away with the division title. But now they will stare down the Steelers and a real test.

Try and argue that the 8-8 Broncos have a real chance against the Steelers. It’s really hard to figure out how considering the ineptness of the Broncos offense over the past three weeks. The calls that Tebow is the savior have become a whisper as Tebow has been absolutely awful in his last three games. How bad has he been? How about one touchdown to four interceptions, a whopping 339 total yards passing and an absolutely pathetic quarterback rating.

Strangely enough, there will be some Bronco fans that figure that Tebow can put together some magic to pull off the victory. For anyone with a brain, you’ll figure that the Broncos need some kind of divine intervention to get past the Steelers. The three losses in a row made the Broncos seem like mere mortals amongst a super hero clan of teams. Getting outscored 40 – 88 is pretty bad, and proves that the Broncos were lucky to even be here. Nevertheless, they’ll be in the playoffs against the Steelers in a game that only Broncos fans will think that they can win.

The reality is that Tim Tebow has had the benefit of a light schedule and a weak division that has granted him the opportunity to be here. Any team with an 8-8 record that makes the playoffs has to be looked at as if this were a mistake. The Steelers are like a juggernaut  that will likely roll over the Broncos. However, there’s a reason why we play the games. We don’t know what will happen even though it’s pretty safe to say that the Broncos will be no match for the Steelers.

But where does this leave Tim Tebow heading into next year? After getting John Elway’s vote of confidence, the team has gone 0-3.

We’ll see what happens.
