Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has never hesitated to point out what he perceives as Barack Obama‘s shortcomings, but comparing the President to reality star Kim Kardashian is his biggest stretch yet.

“You know, I’ve been looking at some video clips on YouTube, of President Obama, then candidate Obama, going through Iowa making promises,” Romney said yesterday during a campaign stop in Iowa. “The gap between his promises and his performance is the largest I’ve seen since, well, the Kardashian wedding and the promise of ”Til death do us part.’”

The two politicians are exchanging barbs (both verbally and via their online social networks) at a more rapid pace of late, with pundits observing their interaction as signifying Romney’s lead in the Republican nomination race.
