Is it really important what kind of sneaks LeBron James had on when he proposed to his longtime girlfriend Savannah Brinson on New Year’s Eve? No, not really. In the grand scheme of things, it’s actually a pretty unimportant detail. Until, of course, you take a look at the outfit that King James was sporting on NYE during the Remy V New Year’s Eve Dinner hosted by Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade. Seriously, look at that thing. LOOK AT THAT THING! That ‘fit could be fresh…if someone else was wearing it. But, it’s LeBron James, so it looks ridiculous. “Pajama swag!” as I saw someone on the blogs refer to it as.

But, I digress. The outfit gets even more ridiculous when you look down and see the sneakers that Bron-Bron has on with it. That’s right, folks—sneakers! And not just any sneakers, either. Instead of pulling out a pair of his own signature sneaker, LBJ hit the town that night wearing a pair of Nike Air Jordan III “White/Cements.” Yes, on one of the biggest nights of his life, LeBron James pulled out a pair of…Air Jordans. Some might say that’s why he was able to deliver in the clutch.

But, I digress again. I will give some credit to LeBron here for trying to take a risk—both literally and figuratively—by wearing this get-up to the place where he was planning on proposing. That took some major cajunes, my friend. But I also have to wonder: WTF are your kids going to say when they see this photo one day? Ten years from now, 20 years from now, and 50 years from now, this is going to look more and more utterly ridiculous to them. So congrats on your big day! We just wish you would’ve selected your outfit—and your sneakers—a little more carefully. One day, you’re gonna regret it.
