It must be freakin’ awesome to be a rich and famous rapper. Seriously. Everyone knows all of the words to your songs. They recognize you when you walk down the street. You get into exclusive parties and nightclubs—and usually get paid to do it. You’ve got all the money you’ll ever need to take care of yourself and your family. And, in spite of all that, people still want to give you things for free. Lots and lots of free swag. And, the best part? You usually get that free stuff ahead of time before anyone else can cop it.

Case in point: Rick Ross. Dude probably has hundreds of pairs of Air Jordans in his closet. More than he’d ever be able to wear. And yet, someone over at Nike helped the Boss get his hands onto a pair of the brand-new Air Jordan X “Chicagos” before they hit stores. Sigh. Damn you, Ross. DAMN YOU! He showed off the new “Chicagos” late this week on his Twitter account just to prove that he really had them. And, as a result, he had thousands of sneakerheads up in arms over the fact that they haven’t gotten the opportunity to get their hands on a pair yet.

Don’t worry, though, guys. You’ll be able to land a pair of Jordan X “Chicagos” soon enough. They’re set to hit stores later this month. And they won’t be anywhere near as coveted as the Jordan XI “Concords” were last month, so you should be able to scoop a couple pairs before they’re sold out. But, in the meantime, you’ll just have to live with the fact that Rick Ross got ‘em before you. Hey, it’s just one of the perks and being a rich and famous rapper. Almost makes you want to pick up a pen and start writing, doesn’t it?
