Beyoncé Gives Birth To Blue Ivy Carter

Royal entertainment couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z welcomed their first child in New York City tonight, a daughter that her daddy is reportedly telling his pals will be named Blue Ivy Carter.

E! News were contacted by multiple sources who said the bundle of joy’s arrival was via C-section, however the couple’s official publicity reps are yet to confirm both the birthing procedure and the baby’s name.

Friend and music mogul Russell Simmons was among the first to celebrate the arrival, tweeting the new parents: “congrats to my good friends Beyonce and Jay-Z.”

Rihanna gave baby Blue a warm welcome, tweeting: “Welcome to the world princess Carter! Love Aunty Rih.”

Congratulations to the new parents!
