Chris Brown Won’t Be Doing Any Interviews In 2012
While most of us are already struggling to keep our New Year’s resolutions to lose weight, drink more water, be kinder to our neighbors, and just be all-around better people, Chris Brown‘s resolution seems rather simple: Keep your mouth shut.
Then again, if you know the 22-year-old artist, you probably know that this resolution is an especially tall order. After his 2009 domestic incident with then-girlfriend, Rihanna, Chris suffered a very public meltdown that included Twitter rants, temper tantrums, and a wild interview on Good Morning America that ended with the star storming out and allegedly throwing a chair through a window.
In an attempt to revamp his image, the star has a new media strategy and mum’s the word. “[Chris will] concentrate on performing and recording,” his manager Tina Davis said in an interview with Billboard. “It was something we set a while back. His business life and personal life are two totally different things. And his love for music and his talent still shone throughout all of the good and bad times. The hardest part was trying to get people to understand that it wasn’t as easy as saying, ‘I’m sorry,’ or having the right answers in an interview.”
Well, Tina might want to look into forcing C-Breezy to deactivate his Twitter account. Last we checked, the star was still running his mouth in 140 characters or less. In any case, Chris’ manager hopes her new method will lead to smooth sailing for her client in 2012.
“We’re not trying to be rude, selfish or disrespectful to anyone in any way,” Tina said. “If people are going to judge anything, judge him for his talent. He signed up to sing and entertain. Not to talk about his personal life.”
