Listen to Amber Rose’s Debut Single, “Fame,” Featuring Wiz Khalifa
Amber Rose knows a thing or two about fame.
The 28-year-old became an overnight celebrity whilst dating rapper Kanye West. And even after the relationship fizzled, her star continued to rise. After landing the role of Wiz Khalifa‘s girlfriend (her most important title to date), the bald beauty made a name for herself garnering movie roles, becoming a spokesmodel for Smirnoff and even landing a gig as a judge on BET‘s Master of the Mix. But now, like her beau, Amber is trying her hand at making music and her debut single is all about something she knows all about: “Fame.”
“The song represents the ups and downs of fame and lets people know that it’s not all it’s cracked up to be,” Amber told RapFix earlier this week. “I have my own unique sound, I make music that I love, and I hope that my fans and the people that embrace me will love it also! I’ve taken vocal lessons and I’m working on my album, but right now I’m in the beginning phases and I’m just taking my time.”
Of course, no Amber ber debut would be complete without her boo Wiz, who is also featured on the track. “Now you’re busting out, doing your thing/In your face, cussin’ them out/Brag ’cause you’re the one that they fuss about/You’s a bad little mother shut your mouth, ’cause… You’re not ready/You’re not ready for the fame,” raps Wiz.
