Official Images Of The Air Jordan X “Chicago” Retro Sneakers Are Finally Out
Last week, Rick Ross posted a photo of him holding a pair of the new Air Jordan X “Chicago” retro sneakers. And we were insanely jealous! Okay, okay, we wouldn’t take it that far—honestly, we were a little bit too busy bumping the new Rick Ross Rich Forever mixtape to think about sneakers!—but we were a little bit peeved to see that Ross has beaten us to the punch when it came to the “Chicagos.” After all of the hype surrounding the Air Jordan XI “Concords,” we were going through a bit of sneaker overload but still ready to cop these when they came out. And finally, a week after Ross released his photo, we’ve got some official photos of the sneaker that Nike originally released back in 1995.
How do they look? Well, exactly like what we remember looking them like—both in ’95 and in the Ross photo as well as the numerous other photos we’ve seen over the course of the last month or so. In addition to the official images, we also got some official details surrounding the sneaker. They’ll be hitting stores on January 21. And, like the “Concords” and all of the other Jordan retros that dropped recently, they won’t be cheap. Expect to pay $160 for a pair of these—and more if you fail to find a pair in stores when they drop.
So, what do you think? These certainly aren’t one of the most notable Air Jordan releases of all-time. But seeing as though we haven’t been able to get our hands on a pair in more than 15 years, we expect that a lot of Jordan sneakerheads will want to cop a pair ASAP. If you’re one of those people, we suggest you go and get in line, like, now, especially after seeing all of the hoopla surrounding the “Concord” release. Or, just give Rick Ross a call. Because from the looks of things, he’s got some kind of connect that can probably help you out. Ha! Just kidding. See you kids out at the sneaker spots on the 21st.
