Bloomberg is reporting that not one, not two, but three(!) anonymous sources are talking about various details of a supposedly upcoming iPad 3, expected to be released by Apple in March.

One of the sources said the new display will have more pixels “than some high-definition televisions,” and will be able to produce images that look realistically printed.

Another person said that the latest version of the tablet will feature a quad-core chip, compared to the iPad 2′s dual-core A5. The increased power will enhance multitasking and video playback.

Finally, the iPad 3 will reportedly work on the superior wireless standard known as LTE, a jump many smartphone producers have already made.

As the Atlantic Wire points out, the device is shaping up to be “a media machine, super-charged for doing everything from watching movies to making movies”, or rather, “the world’s perfect procrastination machine.”

What do you think? What would you like to see in the new iPad?
