Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon Appear Together At The 2012 BET Honors
You can’t keep a good man down.
Just a week after being hospitalized for mild kidney failure, Nick Cannon showed up onstage at the Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C. to present Mariah Carey with the Entertainer Award at the 2012 BET Honors. As he held his son Moroccan Scott, who was dressed in an adorable tuxedo, the America’s Got Talent host commended his wife for being a “hero” during his illness.
“When times are hard, you guys don’t see her at 3 o’clock in the morning, getting up in the middle of the night, fixing me soup when my kidneys ain’t acting right,” the 31-year-old said about his lady love. “Mariah Carey does that. It is truly, truly a blessing to be here tonight, and I am humbled and in awe of everyone’s presence, but mostly my hero right there. What most people don’t get to experience is the human. To know you guys are honoring her tonight, I have to continue to honor her every day.”
When Mariah finally took the stage, the teary-eyed diva quickly returned the compliment and praised her hubby. “To my incredible husband who [has been] out of the hospital two days,” Mariah said smiling. “Look at him all strong and healthy and big and too buff for the tux – it’s incredible.”
Visibly absent, of course, was Mariah’s other child, 8-month-old daughter Monroe. “Miss Monroe Cannon’s backstage, darling,” Mariah confessed to the crowd. “We were both sewn into our dresses, so she couldn’t make it out.”
“She’s a diva like her mama,” joked Nick.

I love them both. I love how Mariah sings and I like how Nick acts since then in Drumline
I hope Nick will recover his health soon. How sweet of them still being together without controversies.
