Solange Knowles Lands A Modeling Contract With Next Model Management

For years now, Solange Knowles has often been referred to as Beyoncé‘s little sister. Nothing more, nothing less. But after semi-succesful forrays into acting, singing, and even a few stints as a party DJ, the kid sister of one of the world’s biggest stars may finally be making a name for herself as a supermodel.

Just days after celebrating the birth of her new niece, Blue Ivy Carter, Solange is in the headlines as the newest model signed to Next Model Management. “Artistic expression is invaluable to me in all walks of my career and I am so excited to continue to develop this path along with such an amazing team at Next Model Management,” the 25-year-old singer told Vogue UK recently. “I feel right at home working with people who have worked beside such creative forces in the world.”

Vogue UK broke the news of Solange’s deal touting the single mother “as the next big thing,” and it’s no surprise. Solange has sharpened her modeling chops over the years while starring in ad campaigns for House of Dereon, Carol’s Daughter, Rimmel London and Op and was an easy pick for Next. “We are delighted to be working with Solange,” Next global publicist Katy Moseley said. “She is hugely popular and beautiful, with so many brilliant ideas and creative energy.”

Check out some of Solange’s best modeling work to date below. Do you think Solange has finally found her niche in the entertainment industry as a credible model?
