Rob Lowe Knows Peyton Manning Is Retiring?
Everyone is wondering what the future of Peyton Manning holds. Everyone, except Parks & Recreation actor Rob Lowe.
Apparently, Lowe knows something that the rest of the sports world doesn’t. He knows that Peyton Manning is going to announce his retirement.
Yup, so apparently Lowe has some insider information that not even Manning’s father Archie is aware about. Lowe tweeted to NFL Network’s Rich Eisen that “his people” gave him the inside intel that Manning was going to call it quits after multiple neck surgeries and the possibility of the Colts drafting Andrew Luck in the first round would put his future in Indianapolis in doubt.
ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen decided to reach out to the 35-year-old Manning’s father to see if he had heard of anything regarding the future hall-of-famer.
“Archie Manning laughed when he heard @RobLowe said Peyton will retire,” Mortensen tweeted. “‘Noooo…he ain’t retiring. I think he would’ve told me.’ #NFL32.”
So far, there’s been no word that Peyton Manning is going to hang up his cleats. Now, if Lowe is right and Manning retires right before his younger brother Eli attempts to take the New York Giants to the Super Bowl on Sunday, that will be a story.
