Can the Baltimore Ravens stop Tom Brady and the New England Patriots offense? Or, will Joe Flacco be able to step up and lead the Ravens to a victory? Can Eli Manning keep playing at a high level and help the New York Giants upset the San Francisco 49ers on the road? Or, will Alex Smith continue to impress people and quarterback the Niners to an NFC Championship? Today, all of our questions will be answered. Including the one that everybody wants to know: Which two NFL teams will play in Super Bowl XLVI?

As of today, there are four possible matchups. The Patriots could play the Giants. The Giants could play the Ravens. The Ravens could play the 49ers. Or the 49ers could play the Patriots. So, which one of these matchups do you want to see played out at the Super Bowl? To help you decide, we put together an argument for each of the four games—and then selected the one that we want to see at Super Bowl XLVI. Before you dive onto the couch to watch the games, dive into these and pick which one you like best.

The Matchup: Patriots vs. Giants

Why It Would Be Interesting: A rematch of Super Bowl XLII? Yes, please! Some people are already saying that, if this matchup were to happen, it could be the best Super Bowl matchup ever. With Tom Brady getting another shot at the G-Men in the big game—and Eli Manning getting the chance to prove that he’s an “elite” quarterback—there’d be a lot on the line here for both teams as well as both teams’ star players.

The One Reason We’d Want To See This Game: As we said, this would be the most hyped game of the four matchups listed here. Outside of the fact that it’d be a rematch, these would also be the two hottest teams meeting up in the biggest game of the season. And, isn’t that what the Super Bowl is supposed to be all about?

The Matchup: Giants vs. Ravens

Why It Would Be Interesting: A rematch of Super Bowl XXXV? Er, okay, maybe it’s not as interesting as the possible Pats/Giants rematch. But there’d still be a lot of hype surrounding this game if it was played. You’d be pitting a big-time Ravens D against a Giants offense that’s suddenly red-hot. And we’d expect plenty of fireworks to come out of that.

The One Reason We’d Want To See This Game: Ray Lewis is at the tail end of his career and it’d be great to see him get one more chance in the Super Bowl. Especially if it came against an offense that’d require him to be at his best.

The Matchup: Ravens vs. 49ers

Why It Would Be Interesting: The Super Bowl would be transformed into the Harbaugh Bowl. Brothers John and Jim Harbaugh coach the Ravens and 49ers, respectively, which would add a very interesting dynamic to the game.

The One Reason We’d Want To See This Game: The defenses! Okay, okay, so we realize that that doesn’t really appeal to everyone. But for the old adage “defense wins championships” to ring true, we’d need to see these two teams bring their swarming defenses to the Super Bowl and duke it out on the field.

The Matchup: 49ers vs. Patriots

Why It Would Be Interesting: A great defense versus a great offense. Does “defense wins championships” really still apply to the NFL? We’d get the chance to find out here. We’d also get to see Brady try and dissect the Niners D, which would be pretty crazy to watch.

The One Reason We’d Want To See This Game: Despite all of their success, the Niners are one of those teams that we haven’t seen much this season. So it’d be nice to see their hard-hitting style infiltrate the field. These are also two teams who aren’t super familiar with one another, which always makes for an interesting game.

THE MATCHUP WE WANT TO SEE IN SUPER BOWL XLVI: Patriots vs. Giants! We’ll just admit it: We’re suckers for a rematch. And this would be the ultimate rematch. Aside from the fact that they played in Super Bowl XLII, they also played earlier this season in a thrilling game that the G-Men won right at the end. That—coupled with the past that these two teams share—would make for a game that could be an instant classic. And, who doesn’t want to hear David Tyree talk about “The Catch” a couple dozen times in the weeks leading up to the game? Put your hands down, Patriots fans!
