The Many Faces Of American Idol‘s Steven Tyler
One of our favorite things about watching American Idol (besides Jennifer Lopez‘s wardrobe) is waiting for Steven Tyler‘s hilariously animated reaction to the contestants.
There’s the “caring industry veteran” face when the Aerosmith legend is giving his priceless advice. There’s the twinkling, devilish eye and twisted smile when he’s ogling a hot chick in front of him, regardless of how young she may be (much to the exaggerated dismay of co-hosts Lopez and Randy Jackson). There’s the passionate face when he’s belting out the notes himself, giving the youngins’ a free vocal lesson. Then there’s our favorite: the distorted, lost-in-the-moment face when he’s wrapped up in the contestant’s performance (something akin to Jay-Z‘s well-known scrunch face when he hears the perfect beat).
