Ew! A 17-Year-Old British Girl Is Addicted To McDonald’s Chicken Nuggets

Every now and then, we love to hit McDonald’s and grab a couple orders of Chicken McNuggets. Yeah, yeah, we know all the stories about how they’re actually made. But, c’mon: Every now and then, they’re good! Just admit it.

The key words up there, of course, are “every now and then.” Because we know how chicken nuggets are made—and because we value our health—we don’t go to Mickey D’s every day in search of chicken nuggets. In our opinion, that would just be stupid. However, it sounds like a 17-year-old British factory worker doesn’t feel the same. Her name is Stacey Irvine and she has a problem: She’s addicted to McDonald’s chicken nuggets!

Are you laughing? Well, don’t. We’re actually serious. Irvine has been eating chicken nuggets from McDonald’s every day since she turned 2 and it’s taking a real toll on her health. In fact, she had to be rushed to the hospital recently because she eats chicken nuggets so often that her health is declining. She says she’s never had a piece of fruit or a vegetable in life, so her body hasn’t received a lot of the vital nutrients needed to sustain it. As a result, she needed to receive an IV during her hospital visit. Aside from that, doctors also discovered that the veins in her tongue were swollen and they diagnosed her with anemia. She has high blood pressure, too, because chicken nuggets from McDonald’s are loaded with salt.

All in all, this is a scary story about what can happen if you don’t mix up your diet and include some healthy foods in it at least occasionally. Sadly, we’re sure Irvine isn’t alone. So if you’re a parent, do us a favor and make sure you’re feeding your kid more than just stuff off the dollar menu. And, if you’re a kid, eat your vegetables. Unless you want to end up sick and in the hospital with an IV hooked to your arm pumping you full of all the vitamins you should have been getting for years.

Chicken nugget addiction is real, y’all! So make sure that you’re only partaking in them “every now and then.” It could literally be the difference between life and death.
