Watch Nicki Minaj’s Banned BET Video, “Stupid Hoe,” Now!
Nicki Minaj continues to turn us on even though BET won’t let you turn on their station and watch her latest video for her single, “Stupid Hoe.”
Black Entertainment Television station decided to ban “Stupid Hoe” from their programming roster despite the fact that Nicki’s video, directed by Hype Williams, broke the VEVO record for most watched music video in 24 hours with an earth shattering 4.8 million views.
Perhaps it’s the suggestive lyrics (the phrase, “you a hoe,” is uttered an estimated 49 times), the naked Barbie dolls, or the straight F-bombs that BET is uncomfortable with. But, whatever the case, the channel is keeping mum on the reasoning behind the ban except for saying the video is “too explicit for TV.” While her video is getting airplay on MTV, Nicki revealed via Twitter why the video debuted online instead of on the more tradition boob tube. “Can’t premiere on a network b/c it’s important that my art is not tampered with or compromised prior to you viewing it for the 1st time,” Minaj tweeted.
Check out the NSFW video for “Stupid Hoe” below that features Nicki in full pink-haired glory and a lot of Barbie dolls bare ass naked…literally (again, NSFW!). And if that’s not enough Nicki on your screen, be sure to tune into NBC this weekend when Ms. Minaj performs at the Super Bowl on Sunday.
Will you pick up Nicki’s sophomore album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, when it hits stores this spring?
