LeBron James Sick Of Being “Easy Target”
Remember when Kendrick Perkins had his soul dunked on by Blake Griffin and LeBron James tweeted about it? Shouldn’t be relevant still right? Well, it is. Reason being is that Perkins is still pretty salty about being dunked on, but even more bothered by the fact that LeBron James tweeted about it.
“You don’t see Kobe (Bryant) tweeting,” Perkins told Yahoo! Sports. “You don’t see Michael Jordan tweeting. If you’re an elite player, plays like that don’t excite you.”
Wow, so LeBron James isn’t an elite player because he, and a ton of other athletes across the globe, tweeted about it? To take it a step further, Perkins said that LeBron is “always looking for attention and he wants the world to like him.” Why didn’t Perkins say that about anybody else? According to James, it’s because he’s an easy target and he is obviously annoyed that everyone feels the need to pick on him.
“I’m an easy target; if someone wants to get a point across — just throw Lebron’s name in there,” James said to ESPN. “You could be watching cartoons with your kids and you don’t like it, you say, ‘Blame it on LeBron.’ If you go to the grocery store and they don’t have the milk that you like, you just say, ‘It’s LeBron’s fault.’ ”
You see, ever since LeBron took his talents to South Beach, he’s become one of the most hated athletes in the world. Not only amongst basketball fans, but to just about any sports fan. The moment he made “The Decision,” everybody outside of Miami slapped a bulls eye on James’ back. It didn’t help that LeBron came up miniscule in the NBA Finals last year and looked less like a King and more like a Prince who can’t seem to win the big game. Nevertheless, Perkins targeting James seems silly considering that just about everyone had something to say about Griffin’s dunk.
Whether you like James or not, it’s true, he is an easy target and it’s pretty unfair that Perkins took a jab at him. Perkins wishes he was a fraction of the player that LeBron James is. But until LeBron wins a ring, he’ll be continuously jabbed at.
LBJ needs to channel his frustration into his play and give cry babies like Perkins something to talk about. I’m tired of all the hate reflected at LBJ and he is right – keep talking and hating as he lives his opulent lifestyle as you dream of doing so. Get back to your nine to five and everyday lives as he counts his millions!!!!! LOL!!!
