Dwyane Wade, Chris Paul, & Carmelo Anthony All Have Special Sneakers Designed For The 2012 All-Star Game
If you’re an NBA player with a sneaker contract, NBA All-Star Weekend is a huge time of year for you. For starters, if you’re good enough to have a shoe deal, there’s a good chance you’re playing in the actual NBA All-Star Game. So, congrats are probably in order. But that’s not the only reason to be excited. Around the All-Star festivities, most sneaker companies also release special sneakers for their players. And this year is no different.
Our favorite special All-Star makeups so far? They have to be the ones that the Jordan Brand released for Dwyane Wade (the Fly Wade 2), Chris Paul (the CP3.V), and Carmelo Anthony (the Melo M8). Although they’re not necessarily the flashiest signature sneakers that you’ll see at All-Star Weekend, they are the ones that we’d buy if we were lucky enough to get our hands on them. All three feature red, blue, or black (depending on which conference each plays for) and all three are basically just fly new colorways of the original sneaker. Jordan Brand decided to go with what works here. And, as a result, it continues working for them.
So, what do you think about what D-Wade, CP3, and ‘Melo will be wearing on the basketball court in Orlando in a few weeks? Should Jordan Brand have tried to do something a little bit crazier with these sneakers? Or, are you happy with the way they came out? If you love ‘em, you’ll be able to buy them on February 23 through select Jordan accounts. And, if you don’t? Well, we’re sure there will be another All-Star-only sneaker out there that you love this season. So, stay tuned.
