Lil Wayne Wore A Pair Of The New adidas x Jeremy Scott “Teddy Bears” At The Grammy Awards
We realize it’s been two days since the 54th Grammy Awards took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. But we still have a bunch of questions. Like, what the $&%^ was Nicki Minaj thinking when she thought up that kooky performance? And, why wasn’t Whitney Houston shouted out by more artists? And, why did so many different artists (ahem, Chris Brown!) get to perform twice? And, how awesome was it to see Adele rack up so many awards? And…well, we think you get the point. Basically, the Grammys left us asking a lot of questions. And one in particular intrigued us when it came to all of the different kinds of footwear that we saw artists wear: What in the world was Lil Wayne wearing during his performance with Chris Breezy and David Guetta?
Well, as it turns out, he was wearing a pair of the adidas x Jeremy Scott “Teddy Bears” sneakers. And they were, well, noteworthy. I saw more than one person on Twitter ask about them, and I have to admit that, whether you like the sneaks or not, they served their purpose. They turned heads, got plenty of second looks, and had people talking about them. Just like we’re sure Wayne wanted.
If you’re interested in scooping up a pair of your own, we hate to tell you this, but…you’re out of luck. Not because they’re all sold out. But because they haven’t even gone on sale yet. They’re part of the adidas Originals Fall/Winter 2012 collection, so they’re still hard to come by. But, keep your eye peels for them. As if you’d be able to miss them if you saw them.
Hey, at least they’re better than those weird lime green boots Weezy wore in Drake‘s video for motto. Right?
