Victoria’s Secret Disses Kate Upton: “We Would Never Use Her!”
Kate Upton may be one of the most famous models right now as the latest it-girl to grace the cover of Sports Illustrated’s coveted “Swimsuit Issue.” But she’s nothing special, according to her former employer Victoria’s Secret.
Despite her rising star status, Victoria’s Secret runway show casting director Sophia Neophitou said Miss Upton won’t be walking the runway for them anytime soon when she was asked about her recently. According to the New York Times, Sophia was quoted as saying “we would never use” Kate for a Victoria’s Secret runway show because she’s “too obvious. She’s like a Page 3 girl. She’s like a footballer’s wife, with the too-blond hair and that kind of face that anyone with enough money can go out and buy.”
The 5-foot-10 beauty modeled for Victoria’s Secret back in April 2011.
Ouch! The fact that Victoria’s Secret is now the compass for moral decency and class is laughable since both swimsuits and lingerie tend to show the same amount of skin. But, we digress.
