Reports of a Whitney Houston biopic are being denied. Allegedly, both Rihanna and Jennifer Hudson were being being considered for the lead role in the film, which was supposedly fast tracked because of the legendary singer’s untimely death. According to the UK’s Daily Mail:

“Whitney’s record label boss and close friend Clive Davis is at the helm of the project and he reportedly wants to get a script finalised as soon as possible so filming can begin.

Rihanna, is in the running for the lead role as is Dreamgirls star Jennifer Hudson, 30.”

According to the Daily Mail, American Idol alum Jordin Sparks, who worked with Whitney in the Sparkle remake, was also in the running for the film, while Willow Smith was named to possibly portray Whitney as a child. A so-called source said of the movie, “Whitney knew about the project and was excited to see where it would lead.”

Despite the very detailed report, a rep for Clive Davis told Gossipcop:

“There is no truth to this. Clive is not putting together a biopic.”

Nevertheless I have to ask, who do you think should play the lead if a Whitney Houston biopic ultimately happens?

I suggest Rihanna, who looks more like Whitney and Willow Smith to portray Whitney as a child. Both Rihanna and Willow have both the facial and body type as Whitney.
